It is one of my greatest pleasures to conduct ceremonies celebrating love, including weddings, commitment ceremonies, vow renewals, civil partnership ceremonies, or small, simple gestures. All ceremonies are planned & organised with the couple’s exact wishes and preferences at the centre.
In the Highlands of Scotland we are spoilt with a unique landscape, and holding a ceremony of love here allows couples to tap into the magic of nature, whether it’s on a beach, an atmospheric woodland, or in the mountains. I am based in the North-West Highlands, in an area called Assynt, close to the stunning Achmelvich Beach and the iconic mountain of Suilven, but happy to travel further afield. Whether the Highlands is your home or you are visiting, maybe even looking for an elopement whilst traveling the famous North Coast 500, a wedding ceremony set amidst our atmospheric landscape – a beach, among the mountains, on the shore of a loch – holds special meaning for me. You don’t even need to be outdoors to experience the magic! An impressive variety of amazing indoor locations let you enjoy a ceremony with the backdrop of the beautiful highland scenery.
From traditional wedding rings, to candles, sand, flowers, handfasting or quaich – to name but a few – I am happy to create ceremonies that incorporate rituals and symbols that reflect a couple’s personal preferences, their story, traditions and beliefs. For me the art of incorporating these elements into a ceremony is finding those that have real meaning for a couple, fit the surroundings and create an unforgettable memory.
I believe that a ceremony should reflect who the partners truly are & in today’s multi-cultural and diverse world this often means people from different backgrounds, cultures, and faith paths are coming together in love. I love creating ceremonies that honour and celebrate this diversity and which beautifully unite different cultures to reflect a couple’s personality and their wishes. As an Interfaith Minister, I am happy to work with couples of all faiths and none.
